By helping one teacher develop professionally, we
enhance learning for hundreds of students.With this idea in mind,
we create opportunities that address the needs of local teachers.
We grant teacher fellowships and stipends through our GIFT
and PRISM programs, but also award teachers with funds to purchase equipment
and materials that will allow them to translate their own research
experience into learning materials appropriate for their classrooms.
We offer problem-based learning, technology and curriculum
development workshops during
the summer, when teachers have time to dedicate to such training.
We consult local teachers and ask what types of activities would
enhance their teaching skills. And we now have a complete online problem-based learning library of cases at CASES Online
